Bartlett is a village spanning three counties — Cook, DuPage, and Kane — in Illinois. The village was named after Luther Bartlett, who in 1873 contributed funds and half of his 40-acre woodlot toward the construction of a train depot. Bartlett was incorporated in 1892 and experienced the majority of its population growth in the 1980s.
The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a Hindu temple that opened in Bartlett in 2004, is the largest traditional Hindu mandir constructed in the United States, spanning 30 acres with materials including Turkish limestone and Italian marble. Villa Olivia, a golf and winter sports resort, also operates in the village.
