Delavan is a city in Walworth County, Wisconsin, located approximately 45 miles southwest of Milwaukee. The city was incorporated on July 21, 1897. Mound Builders of the Woodland culture erected over 200 effigy mounds along Delavan Lake between 500 and 1000 CE.
