Ivanhoe is an unincorporated community in Lake County, Illinois, situated near Mundelein in Fremont Township. The community derives its name from Sir Walter Scott's 1820 novel Ivanhoe; the area was previously known as Dean's Corners before adopting its current designation.
The Ivanhoe Congregational Church is the oldest organized church in Lake County, established on February 10, 1838 as a Presbyterian congregation before reorganizing as Congregational in 1840. The Ivanhoe Golf Club, which hosted PGA Web.com Tour events from 2017 through 2019, is also located in the community.
